BATTLING OVERSEAS
A team of intrepid Kiwis are racing motocross in New Caledonia this weekend.
Taupo riders Nick Saunders (Kawasaki KX450), Brad Groombridge (Honda CRF450), Scott Moir (KTM350) are all riding in the pro class at the New Caledonia International.
Atiamuri’s Hadleigh Knight (KTM 125) (pictured above) and Taupo’s Cohen Case (KTM85) will race in the junior grade.
The event is held on Friday and Sunday with tracks expected to be as hard as concrete and the temperatures are expected to be very hot.
“It will be hard work,” said Saunders. “We will be lining up against top riders from France and Tahiti as well as the locals.”
